When I was young, my hair was so long I could sit on it. I give you exhibit A. (Yes I’m willing to embarrass myself to eventually prove a point):
I think I had just watched Pocahontas on VHS before taking this photo… I digress.
My mother was a saint who spent so much time trying to detangle my MANE at least once a month. And if you had the same problem, you’ll remember this product as your saving grace in the 90’s:
Fast forward to 2015 and I’m going to bestow upon you a hidden gem in the world of hair care products (or maybe not-so-hidden if you already have it!) that will help you detangle your hair. If you were on my Christmas list this year, you probably received one of these…
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Wet Brush.
You guessed it, this brush is used for wet hair, and it is absolutely AMAZING. Gone are the days of ripping out those extra strands of hair after it’s matted and knotty no matter how many times you lather, rinse, repeat.
And because I have a tendency to insert movie quotes into real life conversations (and blog posts) wherever I find them relevent, I’m just going to leave this here and continue on with the rest of my post below…
Anyway, the Wet Brush is absolutely life-changing, and I have to give a shout out to my friend Jordan Cannon for introducing me to it. The bristles are designed with special “Intelliflex” technology, allowing them to bend as you painlessly brush through your knots.
I purchased the Pink Pack, which includes a Wet Brush, Shine Brush, and mini Wet Brush during a BOGO sale. And because they can be used on wet or dry hair, I promise that once you try this, you’ll never go back to your old brush.
Their website has an extensive line of different collections, sizes, colors and types of brushes, including a Selfie brush. I can’t make this stuff up. If you have an iPhone 6, you’ll have to take your selfies the old-fashioned way for now – it’s so popular that it’s out of stock.

You can find the Wet Brush at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond – I know you have some 20% off coupons lying around. But check the Wet Brush website for sales and offers on different packages. Again, I got a great BOGO deal recently.
And to all the guys who are out there living with your girlfriend/wife who has long locks, you won’t have to unclog the shower drain as much if your sweetheart has this. Valentine’s Day gift? Boom. (But please supplement with jewelry.) Oh, and try out your own Wet Brush for men!
Happy brushing! Let me know if you try this out 🙂
